Skilled Afghan weavers produce these colorful hand knotted pile carpets with handspun wool. The handspun Ghazni wool used in these pieces combined with the dying process gives the carpets a wonderful abrash. The designs are modeled on antique tribal camel bags or “khorjin” from Anatolian villages.
