Kente Collection
Designed by Tselha Khando
My inspiration are from Kente cloths, known as Nwentom in Akan, a type of silk and cotton fabric made of interwoven cloth strips a native to the Akan ethnic group of South Ghana. Kente Cloth has its orign with the Ashanti Kingdom, and was adopted by people in Ivory Coast and many other West African countries.
Kente Collection is the perfect combination of tradition and modernity, fashion and home, craft and design, past and future. Many thanks to the simplification of classic motifs, geometric patterns and a pared color palette of the kente cloth.
